Founded in 2023 by Brittany and Mikal Moore, the Santa Fe Artists Network (SFAN) emerged from the creative isolation of the pandemic and a renewed desire to build an artistic community in Santa Fe. What began as a grassroots effort to bring artists together quickly evolved into a dynamic, multi-disciplinary arts organization.
SFAN first made its mark by hosting intimate open mic nights at Roots & Leaves Kava Bar, cultivating a welcoming space for musicians, poets, and performers. As participation grew, the network expanded its reach by hosting the first-ever open mic at Tumbleroot Pottery Pub near the plaza. Recognizing the need for deeper support for local creatives, SFAN soon branched into live-event production—setting up sound, building stages, and providing technical expertise across Santa Fe’s growing arts scene.
In the summer of 2023, SFAN took a major step forward by establishing its own recording studio inside the Candyman Music Center, offering accessible recording opportunities for both emerging and established artists.
By 2025, the organization expanded into education, developing hands-on curriculum for Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, 3D printing, and professional music-production tools including Logic Pro, Ableton, and GarageBand—supporting the next generation of creators with essential creative skills.
In October 2025, SFAN formally debuted the SFAN Gallery with Cloudscapes, a group exhibition featuring artists from California and Colorado, along with emerging talent from IAIA College. Its most recent exhibition, Illuminated, launched in December 2025 and showcases the work of acclaimed artist Michael Garfield. SFAN’s second solo exhibition, Elemental: A Solo Exhibition by Julia Jameson, opens with a reception on March 14, 2026.
In January 2026, Santa Fe Artists Network was deeply honored to receive an RDC Micro Grant from the City of Santa Fe’s Economic Development Department. This meaningful investment affirms the impact of SFAN’s work and strengthens its commitment to fostering collaboration, creativity, and community. SFAN continues to grow as a vital hub for artists across disciplines, helping shape Santa Fe’s evolving cultural landscape with renewed energy and purpose.
To empower artists by providing an inclusive platform for expression, connection, and visibility within the artistic community. We are not the gallery; the artist is the gallery. We are the space to showcase creativity and foster creative skills. The Santa Fe Artists Network is a non-profit, commission-free creative endeavor focused on live-event production and the use of our recording studio, founded on disrupting outdated models of creative representation in the Santa Fe arts scene.
